The EXTEND GROUP has completed work for the launch and successful implementation of a Web portal to integrate key business functions of a multinational pharmaceutical firm. The work spanned a period of 18 months, from January 2009 through June 2010. It includes what may be the most fully developed social networking site ever built solely for employees of a single organization.

Phase One of the project encompassed the creation of the employee-networking site, with features like those found on LinkedIn.com, Facebook.com, and YouTube.com. It also provides a channel to enable real-time communication among users, as well as seven microsites that provide user-specific content. The secure site features all the traditional functionality corporate users expect, including news, document sharing, blogs, and educational materials.
